I have only begun flitting about your web pages, but I will waste many hours that my employers is paying me to be otherwise engaged here. Soon we will be inseparable.|

|Comments:||Hello all ... hope to see a big turnout at Tune Inn in New
Haven the day after Thanksgiving ... and I hope Wes is getting publicity
on CT radio ... New Haven: WPLR, WYBC; New Haven Register and Connecticut
Post newspapers .. Register weekend section is Friday ... so, contact them
by Tuesday if you can, same with the Post ... also, college radio in
Connecticut is strong ... WWUH (West Hartford), WRTC (Trinity College),
WHUS (Univ. of Connecticut) ... all would be great places to set up promos
for the show ... also, Brass City Records in Waterbury CT ... about 30
minutes from New Haven, is a great place to do an in-store set ... call
Walter and set one up ... in New Haven, check with Atticus Books, Cutler's
Records ... two places for possible in-stores ... remember, the day after
Thanksgiving is the biggest shopping day in the US ... so, an impromtu
appearance in a shopping space might be a plus .. actually, the Chapel
Square Mall is right up the block from Tune Inn ... |
if all this is too much ... drop me a note ...
I hope some of the above is helpful ... I will be working the door at Tune Inn ... and I would love to see a large turnout for Wes ... the posters are in place at Tune Inn for a few weeks now, and it will be great to see Wes perform ...
oh yeah, WFUV at Fordham Univ in NYC ... is another great place to promote the gig ... they might even have Wes in the studio (I'm sure he's been there before ..)
take care ... and, please do say hi when you get to Tune Inn next Friday ...

|Comments:||Robert, This is a very interesting website. Loved the photo of Sara and the others as well. I never properly thanked you for the wonderful tribute you paid to Bob last June in your Weekly column. This Saturday, Jana and I are going to the SCL library for an unveiling of a brick in honor of Bob and others that takes place during their holiday party. Jana will be 13 this month. Her bat mitzvah will be on May 31, 2003. I hope to have a few tables of Bob's friends. Maybe you'll be able to help me with the guest list and addresses etc...He would have been so proud of her tonight. She did a solo at her school's winter concert of Santa Baby a la Eartha Kitt...Very cute indeed...Stay in touch please, Tara|

|Comments:||Up until 2001, I had only read some of your writings about
television shows. I found myself praising your words to all my friends,
and not just because we seem to enjoy the same shows. My friends thought I
was insane to find greatness in a "T.V. review". |
You proved them wrong the moment I read the intro to the "Best of LA" in the LA Weekly of 2001. Tears welled in my eyes as I shared the piece with my boyfriend.
I may be a bit sentimental (or incredibly so) but simply put, you are amazing.

|Comments:||Dear Robert, |
Just arrived back home after a wonderful weekend in New York where I saw you and Wes play at Joe's Pub (oh, yeah....and where I paid a visit to my girlfriend!). Well worth the trip (the show....and oh, yeah....my girlfriend)! Anyway, just a quick "thank you" to you and Wes for the music that you make, and from Allie and myself, have a Happy Thanksgiving!
With Much Sincerity,
Howard D. Berlin

|Comments:||I got a copy of the 45 "Bitchin' Party" and "Spin-a-Roo"
somewhere in North Louisiana in the mid-80s. I'd wondered about all that,
who were these Lopez Beatles? Almost 20 years later, and there you are. At
least that question has been answered. |
